Well done Jean – the BGT ‘Boogie Queen’

The ITV ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ show has reached its end for another year and we can finally give our nerves a well earned rest. Our girl – self styled ‘Boogie Queen’ Jean Martyn – sadly didn’t manage to crown her achievement with the top prize but she certainly gave us some fabulously entertaining moments along the way.

Only time will tell whether her appearance on the show will have any impact on the organ scene overall – as the show’s producers seemed to do all they could to dress the instrument up as a piano. None-the-less, Jean’s fun filled performances brought a smile to the faces of her many existing fans and will certainly have earned her more than a few new ones – whichever instrument she plays.

See Jean Martyn ‘live’.

Between 11th-26th June we’re told that Jean’s fans will be able to see her play live on the Britain’s Got Talent Tour – during which she’ll be performing at some of the country’s biggest stadiums, including the Wembley Arena (quite a gig!). If you don’t manage to make one of these, however, she’ll also be appearing at the Yamaha Club Weekend in October, where she’ll be joined by more of Britain’s most talented keyboard performers – so phone 01780 782093 to book your place now.
