Simple Software Collection – Film Themes 1 (Genos)
Compatible with Yamaha Genos:
First issued free with the August/September 2020 magazine.
Please note: 'Simple Software Collection' registrations are generally compiled using only the sounds and styles available from a new Yamaha Genos keyboard. No new sampled voices or styles are included although the originals may have been edited.
Note: In this case the AfricanAnimationBallad style used in ‘Circle of Life’ comes with the Genos V2.0 Superior Pack which available free from: https://uk.yamaha.com/en/products/musical_instruments/keyboards/arranger_workstations/genos/downloads.html
The original ‘Film Themes (Genos)’ article from the magazine is also included as a pdf file - showing how the basic ‘Film Themes’ registrations were created using a Yamaha Genos.
A bank of registrations is offered to subscribers free with each edition of Yamaha Club Magazine. When a new magazine is published the registrations from the previous one are then added to the Club Shop for non-members to purchase.

Use the [FREEZE] button to mix and match registrations
These registrations were put together with specific songs in mind - but if you want to try the voice settings with different tunes/styles pick the rhythm/style of your choice - then switch on [FREEZE] tohold the rhythm/style for use with all ten registrations.
Instructions for loading the Registration Bank (Genos)
- Download the .rgt file onto a USB device.
- Switch the keyboard on and insert the USB device into a USB port.
- Press the [HOME] button.
- Touch the Home screen in the 'Regist' area (top left corner of the screen) to call up the Regist Bank User page.
- Select the USB device containing the registration file from the left of the screen.
- Touch the file name in the main part of the screen to select it. The registrations are loaded into the [REGISTRATION MEMORY] buttons below the display screen.
- Select each registration as required to set up the keyboard ready to play...
